I live in the small village of Nant Peris, near Llanberis in the heart of Snowdonia National Park close to many of the main rock climbing venues we frequently use.

I have been involved in mountain activities, including climbing, walking or mountaineering since my childhood, and I hold the the UK’s highest mountaineering and climbing award the Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor  (WMCI).  I am also a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI), an organisation that represents professional mountaineers within the UK.  I frequently work on delivering National Governing Body Awards such as Summer and Winter Mountain Leader courses and Single Pitch Award climbing courses, which are all operated under the UK’s Mountain Training Association.

I also love overseas travel having led several expeditions to Nepal, North Africa, India and South America.

My main passion is climbing, whether its leading a guided day out or teaching on SPA courses there is an endless number of routes and venues to choose from in North Wales.

As well as climbing professionally and for pleasure I have an interest in paddle sports and am a qualified coach in this area, covering canoeing and kayaking, on rivers and on the sea.

Aside from adventurous activities I also work as a freelance aerial performance rigger (www.aerialrigger.com), working with aerial dancers and performers in the UK and Europe.
